Looking for a Needle in a Haystack
List of Finds: broken wine bottle 2- horse shoes 1- mule shoe 3- mini balls brass clock parts assorted nuts, bolts and square nails leg full of blackberry thorns
The 1st outhouse pit I ever dug was with my ex step son in San Diego on Market St., the Metal Detector I was using to look for anything I could find rang off on a 2 foot long Redman Chewing Tobacco sign that was in the privy about 2 feet down. Found a lot of old bottles in it, started me on collecting pepper sauce bottles as we dug 5 or 6 of them. The pit was for a restaurant according to maps I later looked at and dated 1886. I can't remember what else came out of it. Dr.Barnes
Sounds like fun to me! Wife gave me a Garrett for Christmas and have yet to give it it's 1st time out. I doubt it detects Bitters!
