ReplyDeleteMike was a great person and a valued member of our fraternity. He also was an invaluable researcher and contributed greatly to the hobby. As a fellow collector of both western whiskies and antique Winchesters, I can say that he will leave a void in both hobbies.
ReplyDeleteI will miss Mike.

ReplyDeleteSorry to hear this sad news. He fought the long, courageous fight. Researching, posting, digging when he could... contributing to our hobby for as long as possible. I learned so much from him!

I had known Mike for many years. he was always helpful, supportive, and encouraging. Mike was an accomplished digger, researcher, and friend. I know he had fought hard to beat his health issues, but never complained. God Bless you Mike. I will miss that smile. Dale Mlasko
ReplyDeleteI remember talking with Mike at the old Sacramento digs and a few times in Broderick, He always had time for his friends and fellow diggers. You will be missed Mike.........Andy
ReplyDeleteSuch sad news and great loss... Mike was so helpful to many, many western collectors for a lot years. I can't think of anyone who was more of an authority on Cutter fifths. Mike was thee #1 Sacramento digger. He was just one of those guys that would have you smiling and laughing in about 5 seconds. An all around great person & friend. We're all better people for having the privilege to have known him. God Bless you Mike and thank you for your friendship... Denny Bray
ReplyDeleteMike was a huge positive influence in our hobby, with his unselfish sharing of knowledge and contagious enthusiasm. A paralleled impact is felt with his loss. When a question was presented on any of the bottle related forums, you could be assured that Mike would share his knowledge. He will be greatly missed in so many ways.
